Definitely not Greek/Mediterranean
The soup was wonton and they serve pasta/pizza on the menu. While there are a few greek appetizers, the asian staff is unfamiliar with greek food and culture. The place was empty, there were drunken people loitering in the restaurant with the workers and the kitchen had the stench of grease throughout the dining room. They do not have refills on the soda; unacceptable. The food was greasy and average at best.

Entertainment needs work
First of all, I would like to say that both my husband and I enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive and served us promptly. Our only complaint, however, was the entertainment on the night we went in. It was a Friday evening, and there was a woman there singing karaoke very, very loudly. She was singing songs from the 80s and missing notes. My husband and I could not hear a word each other was saying and had wished that we had gotten our food to go. We will visit this restaurant again provided that there is NO karaoke singing when we go. There were 2 other tables there at the time, and neither table stayed and ordered more drinks after the meal. Both tables took off as soon as they finished their meal, and we did too!

I thought it was fantastic. I went last weekend with a group of people and found a renovated, modern room with an incredible menu. I must comment on a couple of the idiots posting here. The "pee on you" and philipino slag really undermine this forum for those of us that really hope to find a good place to dine. I can say that after my personal experience with Ziveli and reading the majority of these postings I will not visit this website again. I will however visit Ziveli a few times a year, I for one don't care in the least what nationality the chef or employees are, I want good food for a decent price in a nice room. Ziveli delivered!

I don't know who owns this restaurant now, but when my husband and I "dined" there a couple of years ago it was on the verge of being inedible. Microwaved meatballs. The worst tzatziki(in a Balkan restaurant!! ) I've ever ingested. Expensive. Yikes- I would not go back again.

I am going to defend this restaurant. The food is great! I have dined here on several occasions and the meals are consistently good to excellent! It certainly beats eating at the over priced slop houses like Koutoki or Cosmos! The owner of Ziveli is Phillipino, who cares! He's also a master chef! The food he prepares has flavour, the portions are large, the quality is high and the cost is reasonable! Not so from the other two! I have tried almost every Greek or mediterrainian restaurant in the city, Zivel's is at the top of the list overall. If you prefer a generic dining experience try one of the others.

Yech, poopy, blechy my kids would say. Two asian cooks cooking cnetral Europeon food badly. I was really looking forward to this place, what a huge disappointment! STAY AWAY and maybe they will GO AWAY.

Ziveli's has changed management since the previous reviews were written and unfortunately the change has not done them good. There was not a Greek or Balkan person in the place. The "Serbian Meatball" has been replaced with a greasy breakfast sausage. The food was ineptly prepared. I think my entree came out of a CostCo freezer, and the side vegetables were undercooked. The waitress was nice enough, but I wish she would have warned us away.

This is unbeliavable! Lamb is great, also Serbian Meatballs - something I never tried before. You can find some very special Serbian & Greek entries here. Mediterrenian & see food as well. Staff - smiling and fast! Will come back here on a regular basis.
