FANTASTIC FOOD, GREAT CREW, WORKED HARD TO PLEASE
Poncho's Restaurant is one of the best restaurants to eat Mexican food in the city. There are few. The owner is lovely and works hard to make sure everyone is happy. It is too bad it isn't bigger as I would have big parties there. It does hold 50 people thoough so thinking of doing another Christmas party here! THE FOOD AND DRINKS ARE FANTASTIC, the food is real Mexican food. The salsa is the best as is the quacamole...hmmm..everyone, all 15 of us absolutely loved every one of our meals. So, if you like the yummy Mexican places in the States, this is comparible. Go, enjoy, eat and be merry. You can listen to the lovely guitar player and music. It is great for parties! Very busy, so get there early!

Terrific venue for Birthday party!
Last Friday night,a group of us booked a table for a friend's birthday. The food was delicious, the service excellent,lively Mexican music and they make the best Margaritas in town, what more can you ask?! Kaeta went out of her way to make it a memorable evening for us and we had a wonderful time. I would recommend Ponchos to anyone wanting authentic Mexican food and a great party atmoshphere! The place was full and there were many people waiting to get a table, this is a sure sign of a good Restaurant in my opinion!

FANTASTIC SERVICE, YUMMY MEXICAN FOOD!
I had a party here and it was awesome. The owner is lovely and made sure we were all taken care of even though the restaurant was packed as usual. This one of the best Mexican Restaurants in the city. If you hear different, go there and find out for yourself. Awesome food, really delicious, nachos are amazing, chimi's are yummy, enchilada's, basicaly everything!!! This is the best I have had in Vancouver. Nice and spicy, unreal salsa/guacamole, homeade.....everything...oh I can't wait to go back. If only she sold that salsa, I would buy many containers of it. Hmmmmmm...go here. Holds 50 people. Call owner or email her ahead of time for big parties and she will treat you like queens and kings! It is really fun too! Live music and fantastic ambience. She even dims the lights when she lights up your flaming coffee for you! I will definitely be going back many more times!!! Thanks so much to all of you!

Excellent Food & Coffee
I frequently visit this cafe. Their baking items are so rich and delicious. It's busy in the morning and lunch time, but it worth the wait. Don't forget to get a waiting ticket!

Finishing the meal was a reward
I am from Quebec. I can tell you the food in this restaurant is absolutely terrible. I have been here twice. Why would I come back? I love Quebec food that much, and it was that much more disappointing. The quantity in my poutine was pathetic. The hot chicken sandwich was loaded with skin, bone, and cartlidge. Do not eat here. You'll be sorry.

Somethings never change.
I have been patronizing Fresgo Inn first on Davie street from 1978 and later on KGH since 1993. There special ommlette and mushroom burgers are not to be missed. Massive servings of everything. I always make time to go there at least once when I am in Vancouver. Unfortunately there just down to there KGH location now. Worth the drive to this Vancouver institution.

Worst Dinner Ever
My family and I ddecided to spend a nice evening out for dinner and the food at Marcellos is always good, but the service is russian roulette. The night started with our drinks taking twenty five minutes to arrive. The pasta and gnocci we ordered came before our calamari appetizer, which we sent back. I watched the waiter put the pasta and gnocci on the heat rack only to attempt to serve it to us again almost half an hour later. We obviously refused the dishes. No apology from the waiter, no offer to make fresh ones. His only warning was that we were going to hear the kitchen scream shortly; which was true, the older woman in the kitchen went on a rant only to be rivalled by chef Gordon Ramsey himself. The motto at Marcellos is the "customer has no rights: eat our food if you want and piss off". So very disappointing. Certainly our last visit. By: Local friendly guy.

Great new franchise chain!
Wok Box is an Asian quick serve restaurant that started in Alberta. The new location in New Westminster is great. The decor is really nice and plesant. You can either dine in where you order at the counter and they bring your food to you or you can have take out. There are many different options for the dishes. The service is fast and the food is really tasty. I had the butter chicken and it was better than most Indian places I have been to. There are three different sizes and while the lunch box looks small, there is a lot of food in eat. I ordered the regular size for $10 and it was way too much food for me. My husband had the Chicken Pad Thai and iw just as good as a full on Thai resaurant. We will defintely be back and would recommend it!

Outstanding food and service
This is a restaurant that has been a Vancouver institution for years. Owned since new by Umberto Mehngi, one of the first superstar chefs and it is still one of the best for Italian food. From it's valet parking, to the Tuscan interior and extremely knowledgeable and professional staff to the fantastic food, it is a complete evenings entertainment. The antipasta is fresh and tasty with some unusual items to the best osso bucco ever. The pastas are all fresh and the sauces are not cloaked in spices, salt or too many herbs. Everything tastes like it should. The wine list is one of the longest around and it is graced with wine from Umberto's own vineyard in Tuscanny (next to his villa and cooking school). His wine tastes very good. Il Giardino is a bit pricey but it is a place for special occasions and special guests.

One of the best Seafood places anywhere
This is the seafood restaurant in Vancouver. The food is outstanding, fresh and so eye appealing it is almost a shame to ruin the art on the plate by eating it. The setting is spectacular and the views, particularly at sunset are the finest anywhere. I haven't lived in Vancouver for many years but every time OI come back I try to have a meal here. It never disappoints either with the meal or the attentive but not obtrusive service. It is a shame that it has to close by the end of 2009. Vancouver will have lost one of it's best.

YOU ALL DISGUST ME.
Fresgo Inn is one of the dirtiest places ever, trust me, I worked there as a cashier. They have cockroaches, and rats in the back bakery area where they prepare the food. The containers that they store the food in haven't been washed in ages, and are dripping with dirt, IMAGINE HOW MANY GERMS ARE LIVING ON THEM! After the garbage man is done picking through the garbage, and empting out the garbage cans (his odor is undescribalbe), he goes to work in the bakery area, and he also helps to prepare your food, YAHHH! (P.S. he doesn't wash his hands, YUM GARBAGE!). Walter is one of the most cold hearted, rudest, and cheapest people I have ever met. I SUGGEST AFTER ALL OF YOU READ THIS, YOU NEVER GO BACK.
