Classic Sicilian
I only order the large Classic Sicilian Pizza with Peperoni & Bacon...sooo good. It's a bit greasy, but once in a while, it's perfect! Without a doubt, it's my FAVOURITE pizza.

The restaraunt is a bit dingy, but I don't think anyone actualy eats there other than Frank's family.

I wish you could order online though :/

Around $25 for a single large pizza.

Just perfect...
Today my girlfriend and I visited Nova Era Bakery and Pastry on Egerton St. in London. I had to rate my experience in all areas the highest I could rate - 9! only because every bit of my experience was that perfect!! We were greeted instantly even though the place was full. The food was fresh and served within 5-10 minutes. The server, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere - family, casual and relaxed. The price... just right! And you can get a latte to go! My advice... check it out - take the whole family - I know I will!

New review added to The Red Goat

Felt like VIP...
We visited The Red Goat for a company event. There must have been about 15 of us. We were all served at the same time, the servers kept asking us how we were doing and if anything else was needed - it was a full house that night and "they" The Red Goat servers did an excellent job in ensuring that we along with everyone else in the restaurant was taken care of - "amazing job ladies"
I have been back 4 times since for either dinner or just drinks and have no complaints... each time is different and each time is just as tasty as the last.
I would definitely recommend The Red Goat and will be going back for more.

OK, but won't be there more than once a year
Was interesting to visit the Cafe de Paris - we had never had entrecote before, especially the way they serve it here. My wife and I split the classic entrecote dinner with french fries - it was definitely tasty, and large portions. The sommelier was excellent, and it was easy to taste several different wines. A nice atmosphere, clean throughout, and although we'll be back at some point in the future, this is not our "cup of tea", and I can't see us going back more than once a year. However, I would recommend it for visitors to London, and for residents of London who are entertaining friends, since it is not your ordinary restaurant experience!

New review added to Tony's Pizza Place & Tavern

Tony's Pizza Place & Tavern Delivery
My wife and I ordered panzerottis from Tony's Pizza Place and Tavern on Wharncliffe. We asked that they deliver the panzerottis to our home address. My order for two medium panzerottis was $34 and change - just shy of $35.00. The delivery guy came to our door, delivered the panzerottis, I handed him $40.00 and asked for $2.00 in change. The delivery guy reached into his pocket, took out my change and handed it to me. After closing my front door i looked down to my hand to find that the delivery guy have given me a loonie as apposed to a toonie - however I stated very clearly that I wanted $2.00 in change. Now fair enough - this could have been an honest mistake, but when I called the restaurant to ask for the dollar the manager (Rick I believe) said he would talk to his driver about it. I couldn't actually say anything to him (as he wouldn't allow me) and ended the call by telling me to give him a call next week if there were any problems with the panzerottis.
In my experience I cannot believe the service Tony's Pizza Place & Tavern on Wharncliffe provides it's customers - the driver in my opinion should have returned with my dollar or alternatively the management should have understood the issue I had and solved it there on the phone - if they had any care for the good people that spend hard earned money there they would have done that - but let me guess, it's only a dollar, right? So overall, rude and thoughtless service is provided by Tony's and as far as I am concerned there delivery guy comes to your door and steals a dollar from you.......

Michael Buble 2
I went to visit the restaurant The Red Goat for the Michael Buble concert in January 2008. After hearing mixed reviews about this restaurant I wanted to make my own decision, we booked for the concert 1 week before. When we arrived it seemed like so did every other table in the restaurant, I thought to myself here we go, we are not going to make it for the concert. I was please to say I was wrong. We were in and out in less than 40 minutes. We went back after the concert for a few drinks, and I asked to speak with the manager. Michael came out and I asked him, what’s with the mixed reviews some people love some people hate this place, he explained it to me that its under new management since mid December things have changed, a really nice down to earth guy. I mentioned it to him that I love the food and can’t believe how quick and tasty and the service was. I am recommending The Red Goat to everyone in my office to go there for any event at the JLC.

Thank you Red Goat for a enjoyable night.

A Worthwhile Dining Experience
$80.00 including 1/2 litre wine and all taxes for dinner
We were "burned" by The Red Goat for reservations on Jan 26/08 - a heavy concert/theatre night. No seating available within about 4 block radius and concert tickets for 8pm and now 6:30 pm. Walked in on a "whim" and were well received. Despite a full house we were accommodated readily and quickly. The meal was well prepared, fresh, tasteful and served quickly for our limited time factor. The combination of spices was such that none was "prevalent" and were well blended. (I collect and use spices from all over the world (over 130) and am well known as an "excellent cook" with refined tastes so am somewhat particular). Service was exceptional as well with attention to water and clean up after each course without the constant 'how's the food" when your mouth is full but just the right amount of attention. Our waitress was very helpful with suggestions of what dishes to put together to compliment each other. A definite returnable restaurant.

Poor Service
In Sept/07 we purchased tickets to see Michael Buble at the JLC. Phone messages and emails were sent as this is a very hard place to get in touch with a real person. Finally a message was left to call ourselves at home and confirm a time and the date. Message (answering machine) received in late November to set time and date of 6 pm JAn 26/08 (they set the time so as to eat and go comfortably). Emails sent by ourselves to confim our "comfirmation". Another email by ourselves to The Red Goat (witnessed by co-workers) two weeks prior to concert. When we arrived at 6 pm they not only said we had no reservation but denied any contact with ourselves and implied we were lying. No apology, nothing, not even a helpful hint. Being a big concert eve no restaurant was available within about a 4 block radius with a seat left. Poor hospitality and service is all I can say. All dressed up and no place to go.

I haven't met anyone who doesn't like Marvellous. The only odd thing about it is that it's an Italian Pizza place run by Asians but they make a helluva good pizza. The food was great but we sat waiting for our bill for like a half an hour after we were done eating. If you are going to go, I'd reccomend the take out instead. The restaurant had some interesting paintings, but it's old (probably 1970's) and outdated.
