Quality food with very quick service
I am always on the go , I needed to use the washroom after driving for few hours around the city. I found Arby's and decided to use their washroom . The washroom were very clean , decided to try their food . Beef and cheddar I took the large , it was amazing taste and very good price.
Very friendly and clean I like it I will be going back for sure .

Pleasantly Surprised
Ok, so I am not a fast food fan but we were in a rush and we live in Kanata ..... and my hubby was wanting to go... so off we went, about a month ago. Been back 3 times since then. The food was a refreshing change from burgers, still fast food but the plain roast beef and cheese was on a really nice onion bun with some kinda nice, a bit sweet bbq sauce. The curly fries were really good. So, all in all, pretty decent place. I will no doubt return. And yes, we rang the bell... (bell on way out - you are supposed to ring it if you got good service)

I'm just happy that we have an Arby's again.
I've always envied other cities, like Toronto, that have restaurant chains that we don't have here in Ottawa. Hopefully, the return of Arby's will signal a return or debut to Ottawa of other chains.

Arby's makes good sandwiches that are always hot, though they might not fill you up like a burger from The Works. However, they always have some good deals, like the 2 for $5. The restaurant was very clean and the staff friendly.

The only real flaw is that the location of this restaurant is far away from my home.

Where's the chicken (filet)?
I looove Arby's and never understood why there wasn't one in Ottawa (I moved here in 2005). Naturally I was pretty excited to hear we were getting an Arby's locally.

My favourite menu item is the Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich.... the first time we visited this Arby's location they used two chicken strips instead of the breaded chicken filet.... the second time I visited the sandwich wasn't even available on the menu... what gives? If you're going to open a brand new resturant in a city that doesn't have any other locations you had better have ALL of the available menu items or else people aren't getting a true taste of what the resturant can offer.

finally, something different
I used to see the Arby's commercials, and be like, "How good could a roast beef sandwich with cheese sauce be? And curly fries? Really?" Turns out, a roast beef sandwich with cheese sauce is pretty darn good. And the curly fries, when freshly made, are quite good too.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that an Arby's was opening up so close to home, after really enjoying a meal there in Toronto. We go there pretty often and for me it's better than BK, McDonalds, A&W, Taco Bell, KFC... almost all of them. It's refreshingly different, very satisfying...and those blueberry turnovers are awesome. Love this place, and will definitely be back. Good service too... the bell's a nice touch.

A Good Experience
Recently visited the newly opened Arby’s after all the original hype with my two grand daughters (9 and 14) for a quick lunch. The service was friendly & my cashier named Chelsea helped me understand the variations of roast beef sandwiches. She recommended me the “Great Canadian”, which I surprisingly could remove or add any of the toppings. One of my granddaughters attempted the Chicken Sandwich which she said was amazing, and ate it quite quickly. My youngest grand daughter got a roast beef kids meal. The toy was sadly a car board book, and caused a bit of disappointment. Overall this is a solid fast food restaurant and I most likely will be going back to try a baked potato with my husband.

Average Fast Food
Not sure what all the hype is about. Had a beef and cheddar. Do ya think they could put any more salt into the beef and cheese without opening a salt mine. Not real fussy on that other sauce on it. The curly fries were also loaded with salt. Back in the 80's an Arby's opened at Alta Vista and Bank and it didn't last long not sure why though this chain is on par with the rest of fast food places. Maybe this location will fair better. It was pretty much the same as the U.S version I tried at the Carousel Mall in Syracuse. Not really great but not really bad either.

finally went to the new location
I had a roast beef sandwich, a deluxe baked potato, and a chocolate milk shake. The sandwich was ok (standard). The cheese on the baked potato was the fake kind (very salty and weird). The shake was very bland. Over all, wait for the hubbub to die down before going there. The cashiers were swamped. It was very busy and slow and they had run out of some condiments and pennies.
PS They didn't have the flavoured iced teas either.

Uhhh, previous reviewer?
If your expectations were piles of cardboard boxes and construction, then yes this surpasses all of those. It doesn't look like it will be open for another month.
