Little expensive but good:)
Mu fiance is in love with Annas, I am not a big Thai food fan but he loves the Duck, and the Pad Ki Mow which is chicken steamed rice dish; presention was beautiful, they make little vegtable sculptures as garnish but if you don't like Spicy food stay away from this place. The restaurant is small buy beautifully decorated in reds and golds. A tad expensive for the servicings you get. 3 items can cost you up to $60.

Superb (420.10)

Tried this place out for lunch recently – went with the pad thai. My impression is similar to “bunny & clyde” the dish was no better or worse than average - it would have been nice if for lunch a soup or spring roll was included instead of having to pay extra for it (so with a drink and tip it was around $20 for lunch). Service was very quick and friendly – I’ll give them that.

A cute little restaurant
One of my favorite Thai restaurants. Very cute decor, unique- lots of details. Very elaborate menu. Service is good- prices normal, not too expensive. Amazing Pad Thai.

Not up to my standard
Although they have received great reviews, I didn't enjoy my visit.

After we were seated, we noticed it took 8-10 minutes to ask for our drinks. Our waiter had a blue tooth ear piece in his ear and took off much faster than he came.

When we ordered our meal, we forgot to ask for rice and had a heck of a time trying to track him down.

Another server with short hair didn't speak English and was responsible for bringing plates to and from tables.

We paid about $5 dollars more for 2 appetizers and two entrées (plus $4.50 for my Keiths) than we usually do at Sweet Basil or Hot Peppers.

The chicken skewers (which the Ottawa Citizen reviewer raved about) were hard and laced with coconut milk. I'm afraid that's not the way I usually have them. :)

The atmosphere was nice (Francophone radio station playing jazz).

not bad but not memorable
I think Anna's has gone down hill a bit since my last visit a year ago. The portions were quite small, and more full of sauce than substance. For what they're charging they should have been more substantial. Everything was very tasty, just didn't blow me away - not much better or worse than any other thai I have tried. I will say that the veggie springrolls with mushrooms were exceptional but at over 6.00 for 2 tiny rolls - overpriced.

Worst Service Ever
I experienced the worst customer service at this restaurant. I am a Thai food enthusiast and was excited to try Anna's Thai.

I went with a friend of mine on a sunny Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm. Upon entry I was approached by two employees (one male, one female) with an immediate statement "We're Closed!".

I said "Don't you serve lunch till 2:00?" to which the male replied very rudely,
"well, do you expect to eat in 30 minutes?"

In fact, we would have been in and out in 30 minutes however my friend and I were so disgusted and mistreated we left.

I've worked as a server for many years and know what it's like to serve last minute clients, but these people were plain mean.

Save yourself the money and go to a Thai restaurant that wants you (May I suggest Green Papaya or Nokham just blocks away).

Delicious
I initially chose this place because I was checking out reviews for the best Thai places in Ottawa and this was one of the places with great reviews. The website's online menu helped a lot as well. I just picked up an order of green curry chicken and sticky rice. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the place itself is very clean and pleasant. The food was delicious, just enough heat on the curry for my taste. I would definately visit again.

A decent lunch
I went here for lunch today with 3 friends. The restaurant was quite busy which is usually a good sign. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was clean.

Our server was friendly and filled up our water after almost every sip.

I ordered a Pad Thai and a spring roll appetizer. The appetizer came quickly, but my dish arrived last, at least 5 minutes after the first dish had been served to my friend. It would have been nice if all the dishes were served at the same time. That's my only complaint, which isn't a very big deal.

Price was decent and what I had expected. Spring roll appetizer with Pad Thai came to about $18 after tax and tip.

I will be back, but only once in a while, because it is a bit much to pay for lunch.

Green curry beef w coconut was excellent, as was shrimp in peanut sauce! Crispy beef was overdone, but still tasty (perhaps because we made it a last minute request mid-meal?). Service was pleasant, and very quick! Great food, and good price - under $100 for 3 people, including a bottle of Pino Grigio. Worth the visit!

We had a party of seven, and arrived at 5:30 pm so it wasn't busy. Everyone ordered something different, and everyone enjoyed their meal (nothing left on the plate). Wonderful food. The service was friendly and prompt, and since I had a mildly spicy meal, my water glass was topped-up several times. (I didn't have to ask.)

Most of our party had been to Anna's more than once, and we will keep going back.

By the time we left, the restaurant was getting crowded. People seemed to be enjoying themselves, which is a good sign.

Me and my wife had our first date here and we have been eating here ever since and not because we had our first date here, just because the food is so darn good.

The restaurant is small and quaint a great place for a date, the lighting is nice and there is always great backgroud music. The staff or so polite and make sure you are look after.

Of course the food is the best part. I would suggest the crispy duck or eggplant and shrimp. The sauteed beef is also an excellent choice. Very authentic Thai and very delicious.

Since I've never been to Thailand, I can only compare with the other Thai restaurants that I've visited in town. I got vegetables with garlic sauce. It was ok. Pretty quick. But the restaurant was freezing.

Good food. Very Pricey. There's not much to Thai food. 1 small bowl of rice, 2 soups and 2 Green Curry Chicken with barely any chicken. $45. Oh we drank water this time as well. I'll admit, it was very tastey.

This was probably my favourite Thai restaurant until my last visit. I had gone for lunch and ordered the Thai Coconut soup. Unfortunately my order was mixed up and I was given their other soup which is more of a spicy broth. I explained that this was the wrong order and they took it back. They brought out another soup a lot faster than I was expecting and upon examining it, it was quite obvious to me that instead of replacing the wrong order with the right one, they simply added coconut milk to the orginal soup they had brought out.

The soup of course was still edible however clearly not what it was supposed to be. I was thoroughly disappointed that this restaurant would be so cheap and deceptive.

As much as I have loved the food in the past, I will not be returning.

Admittedly, I came here with a large party. I ordered something from the menu (no alterations) and it took forever to arrive, although everyone else got their meals at about the same time. I got my food after everyone else had finished eating! And they still had the nerve to charge me full price! Won't be going back here...

ATMOSPHERE and great food!!!! A real JEWEL west of downtown on Holland Ave.. CLEAN lines, hardwood floors and exquisitely decorated. ANNA 's was quite the surprise...The STIR Fried Seafood was intricately done with a nice large shrimp and succulent squid. The pad thai was the best I have ever had..SWEET and SPICY...My favorite was dish was the Braised pork leg!! PORK FAT!!! AWESOME... What was impressive also is the presentation of the food..Nicely laid out on broad wide plates...Our meal was nicely finished off with homemade mango pistachio ice cream with mango coulis... Portions were on par with other Thai restaurant.. A great place to take a date! ENJOY

I loved this restaurant! Went with a girlfriend on a Monday night. The atmosphere is so cozy. Dim lighting, lots of plants and beautiful asian decor. Service was impeccable. Very polite, did not rush us at all, but if we just looked over the servers way, she was over quickly to make sure everything was okay. Food was also great. I had the duck with ginger sauce and vegetables. Delish! Will definitely be going back with my boyfriend! Dinner for two, with dessert, two glasses of wine and tip came to just under $60.
