However, when we ordered a glass of house red, a Jackson Triggs shiraz, it came chilled!!! My partner and I ordered a medium-rare prime rib dinner. The first half of it was tasty and tender, but the 2nd was tough and too cooked. The vegetables, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots were al dente as we like them and were very tasty due to the nice seasonings the chef used. When it came to dessert, I asked for a crème brûlée which was on the menu, but they didn’t have any. So I ordered an apple blossom, apparently made with filo pastry, but it tasted like it came out of a supermarket frozen box. I must say that we would probably have had a better meal had we taken the buffet dinner offered that night. The meal cost $220 for 5. This was for five prime rib dinners, 4 glasses of house wine and a Caesar, and 3 desserts. The five of us had a variety of dishes which we shared and they were all very tasty. I would go back there anytime. It's not high-styling, overpriced stuff, it completely lives up to it's name. High marks especially to the staff, they truly do run the place like a family and their courteousness shows.
