Tonight I'm having Silver Streams. The service is exceptional and the waitresses are polite and friendly. Whether you order take out or enjoy the buffet, you get what you paid for - loads of great Canadian Chinese (as we don't actually have real Chinese food restaurants on PEI, people) food cooked well and perfectly delicious. The chicken fried rice is my favourite in all of Charlottetown (I've visited each Chinese food restaurant we have, and even some on the outskirts). The chicken balls are filled with chicken and wonderfully crisp. The deep-fried wontons are marvelously made. The restaurant is large and seats many and while it can be chilly at times, it works well in the summer ;) The owner of Silver Streams has always been friendly to those who come in, always smiling and bowing her head in thanks. New Years Eve is definitely the time to get Silver Streams, even though my family normally goes for birthdays and whenever we crave it, too! Definitely one of my favourite restaurants.

That other review about how terrible Silver Streams is was uninformed. Obviously they weren't at the same place as me, because they would've enjoyed it. Maybe they were having a bad day or maybe they are just a terrible person.

I love the chinese food at silver streams! and when you order take out...the styrofoam take-out thingys are JAM-PACKED!! one combo dinner is usually enough to feed at least 2 or three people. the buffet is awesome, but the waitresses could definitely stand to be more polite.

Easily the worst Chinese food it town. The place is probably not the cleanest. Their buffet, although cheap, is not really all that good - I guess you do get what you pay for. I would need to be extremely desperate to want to visit this place again.
