I went here for lunch with some relatives from out of town and the food was bland and service was horrible. I had the coconut chicken sandwich and it was obviously pulled from the freezer. The soup was bland and the staff were unfriendly. I would not recommend going here to eat.

I love the yard and have had some great summer nights up on the patio. The coconut curry soup on thurs. is delish but as many people have said the service can be terrible at times. I have been burnt by them before a concert when we had a 1 1/2 hour window to eat and have a couple drinks and they could not meet that deadline. someone just needs to light a fire under the employees pants or maybe just pick a few more waitresses up off the free agent market.

I really enjoy the atmosphere at the yard, it's laid back and suits the image most people would have of a pub on broadway. However I agree with other reviews, it has become loose around the edges. Service is not what it used to be 2 years ago, and the food isn't crafted as well either now either. in short, it seems like a place for the locals, maybe thats how they want it.

I used to love going to The Yard, but I've noticed it seems to be going downhill. They have a burger and beer night there on Mondays which is a pretty good deal, so I went for the first time this week. When we ordered, both myself and a friend asked for no mustard on our burgers. They both came with mustard, and when we sent them back it looked like the cook had taken one bun and used it for both our burgers...my friend's had two tops on hers! To top it off, the waitress came back and said the cook had misread her handwriting and thought she wrote "No mushrooms". I asked if we were supposed to get mushrooms and she said yes, then pretty much ran away from our table. Neither of us got any mushrooms, which would have been nice. To top it off, she never did come back...another waitress served us instead.

"the locals" like it because the food is good, it's better than most of the actual restaurants in Saskatoon, I'd say thats pretty good for a pub. The staff is fantastic, more than willing to go out of their way for anyone - the only reason anyone is ever given less than fantastic service is if they mistreat the staff. I love this place, even though there is a lack of seating at times.

I have had many good times at the Yard in the past. However Lately the service and the pub has gone completely down-hill. I used to recommend the Yard to friends now I will be recomending better establishments.

I'm not sure what the first reviewer was smoking, because the Yard is definitely an all-time favourite in Saskatoon! The food is delicious - the homemade soups and specials keep us coming back every week. The staff is so friendly, the atmosphere is always laid back and whether you're cozy in the pub or loving the sunshine on the rooftop deck, the Yard is the closest thing we have to Cheers where everybody knows your name. We love the Yard!

Small english pub-style restaurant on Broadway. Food is pretty basic pub fare--nothing special but also not terrible. It can get very busy and getting seating always seems to be a worry when going there. I'd hate to see the place in the daylight as it feels greasy enough at night. The rooftop deck is nice in the summertime. Locals seem to really like the place although I have yet to see why... maybe it's because Theresa Sokyrka can be seen there (whoopydeedoo!).

I am never disappointed with the Yard 'n Flagon food and atmosphere.
